Bavaria, Slovenia, & Germany 2023

It was a big year for paddling, with trips to Bavaria, Slovenia, and Norway. It also included a week spent at the Prijon Kayaks headquarters in Rosenheim (video in the works). A special thanks to the Prijon team who gave me multiple tours of their state-of-the-art factory and introduced me to the skilled workers behind the kayaks. It’s worth noting that the company prides itself on designing/manufacturing many components and accessories in-house, which means customers can easily source spare parts or refresh/upgrade their kayak anytime (I took advantage of this service to restore/update my ex-demo Proteus). In 2024 I paddled the Prijon Neptun and Proteus; both fantastic sea kayaks with unique characteristics. The former is more playful and showcases a modern design, while the latter is a mile-munching-missile and adopts more traditional styling cues.
