Well hello there, you work out!? What you err doing later?! Fancy a date with me the weird LOTR obsessed vanlifer with a pet Goblin called Bonsoir and a prospective retirement age of 150?! I’ve got 99 problems but eating noodles three times a day aint’ one. Anyways, totally unrelated, just can’t help bragging from time to time. So what the bloody hell have I been up to since last August, well lets start with Skye.
The last eighteen months have been a complete whirlwind as life on the road becomes my long-term reality. The first year and a half of van life was pretty brutal and I spent most of that time just figuring out how to make living on the road sustainable. However, since the beginning of last year things have really started to fall into place and although I’m not sleeping on a bed of fifties I do feel like I’m making real progress. Consequently, I’ve been busy, really really busy. Thus, whilst I have been shooting/adventuring throughout this period I’ve not been keeping up with the content I’ve been creating and only in the last couple of months had free time to start sharing my recent adventures. So where to start?! Well, let me take you back to last September after me and the boys returned from our 7 Countries in 7 Days road trip ( watch the episode here ).
The road trips with the boys inevitably destroy my savings so once I returned to the UK I was eating garden shrubbery, looking for coppers in the van, deciding which organs to sell first and generally spending some quality time with my long term friend bankruptcy. Thus, after just a few days of being in Kent I was heading up North to start work on the Isle of Skye ( after-all if you’re going to work 24/7 for a while it might as well be somewhere beautiful ). The isle is an adventure playground that incorporates some of the most impressive features of the mainland in one compact island. I spent three months on Skye working hard, exploring, making new friends and planning 2018. I could rattle on about all the things I got up to during these three months but I’ll let the photos & video fill in the gaps!
