Contax T2

Crete | 35mm

On this trip, I kept things simple and packed the Contax T2 and a triple pack of Kodak Gold 200. I take good care of my cameras, but they’re not ornaments, and with this in mind, it was time for the Contax to earn its keep. After years of shooting with the Leica M6, its taken a little adjustment to get used to the T2 and its quirks, but we bonded on this trip, and I’m pleased with the results. The auto focus is known to miss on occasion, so I was mindful to shoot slowly and with intention. The Carl Zeiss Sonnar lens gets a lot of hype, but I feel that’s justified – it’s excellent. Without further ado, here’s a selection of 35mm photos of the wonderful Greek island of Crete.
